Last night someone said to me that what might be stopping people from buying my books is that at the Smashwords site you have “join” the site in order to buy the books.
Is that what is stopping you?
Also, you can buy the books through Kobo, Barnes&Noble, iBooks and other places. It is true that Amazon/Kindle doesn’t carry them (I have to sell $2000 worth of a title before they will list it), but these other options are there.
If you feel that way about the Smashwords site, let me know – AND! if you have alternate sites where I can publish my books, let me know about those too!

You have to join any site to get a boo from them. The only one that doesn’t require it is instafreebie. I think there are just fewer people on smashwords than amazon.
